Errand Solutions, a company providing programs to improve patient and employee satisfaction in hospitals and corporations, is seeking interns to assist the marketing department in the West Loop area of downtown Chicago. Our intern team works directly with the Marketing Manager and is responsible for social media campaigns on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other industry related websites. Interns will also conduct target market research to aid in program development and will utilize design software to create promotional materials like newsletters and flyers. Whether you’re looking to gain experience in graphic design, establish copywriting skills, or learn about digital marketing and website management, we can help! By the end of the internship you should walk away with a working portfolio of materials to be used for future job searches.
Based in downtown Chicago, Errand Solutions has provided services to over 2 million users at more than 200 client locations in 18 states. From the everyday to the extraordinary, no request is too big or too small.
This internship is NOT filing and stuffing envelopes. Interns will be actively involved in marketing efforts on all fronts and will be able to stay busy with a variety of tasks. The Errand Solutions marketing department is a team and works together each day; our interns are not here to do busy work that other people don’t want to do. Your main responsibilities would include:
Assist the marketing department with branding and designing print collateral using Adobe Creative Suite programs, updating website content for multiple websites and developing new and innovative ways to promote ideas (all suggestions are welcome and encouraged).
Help to gather information about local events, community activities and businesses in our service areas.
Create fun posts/updates for current clients on Facebook and Twitter; spearhead thought leadership campaigns on Twitter and LinkedIn; work with current client sites for targeted e-marketing campaigns.
– Experience or coursework in basic marketing
– Ability to conduct focused internet research
– Knowledge of social media platforms
– High levels of writing and communication skills
– Advanced skills with all Microsoft Office applications
– Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) is helpful, but not required
This internship is unpaid, but is available for school credit. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your resume and receive future recommendations and references. Many interns have also gone on to accept paid positions within the organization after their internship is completed.
